In my column in The National newspaper, I advise a woman whose husband wants to renege on a settlement agreement regarding custody of their children and is seeking to gain custody himself. I outline the legal position that means he is not able to contest this unless there has been a material change in circumstances. I also give the legal position on what happens in a situation where a husband is not cooperating with the first stage of any family dispute or divorce proceeding, which is to attend the Family Guidance Committee.
