In my column in The National newspaper, I address the issue of what forms of evidence are admissible in a family court case in response to a reader who wants to submit email and Whatsapp messages. I explain these are admissible as long as they are printed, translated into Arabic by official translators and properly submitted to court. I also discuss what the role of an appointed mediator is in a divorce case, who is generally appointed in cases that are difficult or where the court believes there is a chance of reconciliation.
